Lovely weather as 31 vans started arriving for our first holiday meet down at Exmouth RFC, I have to mention our contacts at Exmouth club and a big thank you to all.
We had ten different groups join us coming from all parts of the country and a great big thank you to all of them. 12 NENE VALLEY, 2 NORTHERN COUNTIES, 2 SEVERN VALLEY, 1 EAST MIDLANDS, 5 CHILTERN, 2 SOUTH WEST WALES, 1 WEST COUNTRY, 1 LANCASHIRE, 1 ANGLIA and 4 ESSEX. We gave out as much information as we could for the campers to explore the local area – trains/buses/boat trips and ferry. Most were out and about to all sorts of places.
At the club house bar and railway club they were showing the football and the last rugby game of the season. The fun fair turned up Thursday but was no bother to us, and left Sunday.
I have to give a big thanks to Peggy & Alan with my wife Jane, who between them looked after the
Toilet/shower block – keeping it Covid-19 safe for all. Alan did a fantastic job looking after the key and had it off
to a tee with the hot water.. I took it easy sitting around most of the day doing what I think is best (talking).
A good time was had by all…. Denis.
Our next rallies are at Grenadier Lodge 1st to 4th July held at Bulkington, followed by Stoke Bruerne 16th to 18th July
Next T/H/S Is at Keith’s Farm, Sea Palling, NORFOLK 7th to 12th August.
The Committee have decided to increase the value of a full loyalty cards from £18 to £20 as all sites have put their fees up. Please make sure you have booked before turning up at Exmouth.
We need stewards for 10th – 12th September (Fir Tree Caravan site) and 23rd – 27th September (Cranford Vintage and Steam rally) please. The meets will be cancelled if we don’t have volunteers to steward.
Our Rally Officer has been busy again, and we can now offer a meet at The Cranford Vintage & Steam Fair at Cranford near Kettering. The meet starts at 2.00pm on Thursday 23rd September and runs through to Monday 27th September 2021. The cost is £50 for the meet, no matter what day you arrive, and includes entrance to the Show on Saturday and Sunday for two people on each day. Payment will be collected on arrival at our area of the showground. There will be water and elsan points, but no electricity. Entertainment is being booked by the showground for the Friday and Saturday nights. Bookings as usual please.
Yet another date to add to your diary from our very hard working Rally Officer – 1st – 4th July at Grenadier Lodge, Nuneaton. This was one that we should have been able to go to last year, but Denis has managed to book it for us this year. All details on our Forthcoming Temporary Campsite page.
Our Rally Officer has worked so very hard to get us lots of meets this year but we desperately need Stewards – without Stewards we will have to cancel the meets and all Denis’s hard work will have been for nothing. Please contact a member of the Committee and sign up for stewarding.

Cost pupn £15.00, toilets and showers available, no hook ups, but charging facility for mobility scooters etc. Booking now open only by e-mail to: (firstname.lastname@example.org) or text 07805 795549 with membership number, vehicle reg., dates required and mobile contact. Dogs allowed on leads.

Because of the restrictions due to Covid-19, we are unfortunately having to add some Do’s and Don’ts:
Until further notice all TCs are BOOKABLE, so any member who would like to attend please ensure you phone KATHLEEN DANIELS on 07792 353803 to confirm a place. She will be requiring your Name, Telepone Number, Membership number, Van registration and number of nights you will be rallying when you book. We cannot allow you on the temporary campsite field if you have not booked in advance. When paying your rally fees, would you please put the correct money in a sealed envelope with your Name, the number of nights you will be camping and the amount enclosed on the front of the envelope.
On arrival please wait in your van until the stewards come to you. Show your membership card to them through the van window and hand them the sealed envelope containing your fees with the information required on the front of the envelope.
The steward will park you up 6 metres apart and vans will be parked so that the habitation doors are not facing each other.
There will be no hand-outs, accommodation or event shelter supplied.
You must observe social distancing of 2 metres and you will not be able to socialise with other members in vans or awnings in accordance with Government guidelines.
Anti-bacterial spray and wipes will be provided by the taps to use before and after use. PPE is your own responsibility.
If the weather is kind to us, we will be able to have the usual coffee/tea mornings for a chat if members wish.
KEEP TO THE 2 METRE RULE and please be kind to the Stewards who will be doing their best to keep everyone safe.

If any member does book for a temporary campsite but is unable to attend could you please let a Committee member know as soon as possible so that we can fill the space with someone else.
