The Nene Valley Group of the Motor Caravanners’ Club is based in Northamptonshire. Rising in the west of the county the River Nene (pronounced nen) winds its way past pretty villages of golden brown sandstone and thatch cottages, until it leaves the county in the north on the way to Peterborough. The pronunciation of Nene now changes to ” neen” and the houses change to a lighter coloured stone, with many a roof of collyweston tiles. Northamptonshire is an often forgotten county, as people pass through on the M1, so why not come and visit Nene Valley Group and see for yourself, you will be given a friendly welcome.
The Committee this year: Chairman – Tony Daniels; Secretary – Peter Moore; Treasurer – Paul Betts; Temporary Campsite Officer – Denis Rappitt; Bookings: Kathleen Daniels.
