Nene Valley Group – Latest News
Denis has been very busy during lockdown securing a full rally programme for next year with two separate holiday rallies by the coast plus plenty more rallies to keep us all happy and making full use of our vans, HOWEVER – PLEASE NOTE: Nene Valley’s current Committee will continue until the end of 2020, after that there will be 5 vacancies for new Committee members. The simple fact is that with no new Committee members, there will be no Nene Valley Group. It’s up to you – the members – whether Nene Valley carries on or whether it ceases to be.
26 Members attended our Temporary campsite at Greetham this weekend – one extra day and with the latest legislation by the Government, we would have had to send 20 of them home early! However with very reasonable weather, a lovely large field and electric hook-up we were in our element. We held a short, socially distanced, formal information meeting on Saturday to approve the accounts. Approved and seconded, we then heard from Denis of all the temporary campsites he has put together for the coming year – hopefully. It was noted that most of the Committee members will be standing down after the Christmas temporary campsite, so a request was made for members to seriously consider taking part in the Committee. Christmas meal menus were handed out with a request for £5.00 per person deposit which will be non-refundable if we have to cancel. The cost of the meal will be £25.00 per head (three course provided by caterers) and the return date for the menu is 1st December. Please contact Sue for a copy of the menu and details of where to send it and the deposit (phone number in 2020 programme). We shall be keeping everything crossed for our Christmas temporary campsite to go ahead, but should it be cancelled, let me be the first to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.
